Night-Time Snacking - Ohhhh, yes!

I'm a firm believer in a strategic nighttime snack. My dinners can be pretty light and I often get a case of the munchies before bed. This is my go-to evening snack and one of my favorites! One small (or half of a large) banana sliced up with 1/2-1 tablespoon of natural, crunchy peanut butter and speckled with cinnamon.

It's creamy and crunchy, spiced and salty. Plus, it's a great source of magnesium from the peanut butter (a natural muscle relaxer) and potassium from the banana, both of which can help contribute to a good night's sleep...This looks bigger than it is, but totally yummy and very satisfying!

(Food snob note: <summoning my inner Ina Garten> Good cinnamon can make a HUGE difference in how delicious your food is. I am obsessed and I mean OBSESSED with the Vietnamese cinnamon from Smith and Truslow (www.smithandtruslow.com). So obsessed, that I gifted their spices to almost everyone on my list this past holiday season. Use good quality, freshly ground herbs and spices and you will absolutely notice such a difference!)
